aRty pArtY 2006 - A fund-raising event in support to nurture young art enthusiasts in KL. Hosted by galleriiizu and organized by (yours truly) CoA. We were overwhelmed by the response we received from those who came and supported the event. It was unbelieveable actually. We never really thought that so many people came to the party (almost 300 people).
Thanks to those who participated in this event; the bands (akta angkasa, artik, deepset joy, flow, telephony delivery, designer's electro, sfera logika), the poets (soulshyne, unkleventrikel, puvin, the midnight poets), Gerek (Farrah Aini Lugiman), Street Horn Syndicate (SHS), artists & designers who contributed some of their artworks for charity (Aizuddin, Fauzy, Hafiz Razak, Abe, many other), Muid Latif & Perez (for their awesome tripple-error video), Hakim FNB (for his touching documentary about his gf Melanie), MIIM students who submitted their videos for screenings, all the admins, 84 cubes, digital malaya gang, komunity jalan kempas, sheiko, orkibal, tha-b,.... thanks a gezillion to everyone who came and supported the event! TQ

Pameran Terbuka Malaysia 2005 telah dirasmikan oleh Menteri Kebudayaan dan Kesenian; Datuk Seri Rais Yatim yang ditemani isteri Datin Seri Maznah Rais. Turut hadir di majlis tersebut, Dato' Jins Shamsudin, Datuk Syed Ahmad Jamal, En Tajuddin Ismail, dan ramai lagi pelukis-pelukis tanahair. Majlis ini turut dimeriahkan dengan Rumah Terbuka Balai Seni Lukis Negara.

Lebih kurang 84 buah lukisan dan hasil seni yang dipamerkan pada tahun ini dengan penyertaan lebih drpd 25 orang pelukis tempatan. Salah seorang daripada pelukis terbabit adalah ahli Children of Art iaitu Mohd Hafiz Razak dengan karyanya 'Entangled I'.

All 8 of us; Aneem, Hafiz, Aji, Syafix, Rafil, Belle + art:tech attended the designedge idn conference 2005 last week. We went there by train on Wednesday 9 Nov 2005 and arrived in Singapore the same day at 10pm. We stayed at the Sleepy Sam's Bed & Breakfast Resort... (A very nice place... very Bali I tell u!) Anyway, there are tons of pictures that we wanna share with you... so hang in there while we upload all the pictures here ya?

Woahhh! Kali ni punya artmarket memang besh! Walaupun hanya aku (Aneem), Hafiz and Aji je yang bukak gerai tu pukol 9.30 am. Syafix dtg later on at 2pm. Orang ramai sebab besday Balai Seni. Our gerai received visits from tourists, art buyers, etc... Plus, our sales pun quite good. Our total sales = RM320. Ok la tu kan? At least tak balik dgn tangan kosong.

We also did a product 'pre-launch' kat art market tu. The response we received was encouraging. I guess we have to keep on moving since all of us are excited about it.

I think CoA's blessed with 2 talented photographers; Syafix and Belle. They took gorgeous shots at the event. Awesome works guys! Since there are tons of pictures taken at the event, I've personally picked some picts to be put up here. So, I hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I did!

Woah! The event went well! We received positive response and supports from people who came to our event. It felt good to finally 'doing' something and contribute to our society and artscene. I know this event is small compare to the other art fest/event, but hey, it's a kick start for us to contribute more in the future. The most important thing is, we have reached our goal to introduce CoA and it's mission to the public and especially youths out there. It may not mean anything to the others, but it does to me!

My thanks to UBU & FNB gang who supported us all the way, Hishamuddin Rais for letting us to stay at UBU and CoA Team who worked so hard to make the event happened! Thanks so much. Also thanks to all art groups & art enthusiasts who came and supported us; Komuniti Jalan Kempas, Digital Malaya (muid latif, sheiko, sws, tha_b, miss rooty, ghostfinger, orkibal, perez oldskool, sona, etc), Gerek (Babe, u're the best!), Andi Firanra (a.k.a Arip... for the guitar performance), Adiq and didgeridoo team who taught us so much about didgeridoo, En. Suzlee Ibrahim for his support and participation towards the group, Pakcik Rafie Abd Rahman (APS) for his kind contribution and his commitment to the watercolor workshop that we held for him, Cikgu Zahuri & Cikgu Rini + adik Ashraf from SMK Bangsar for coming over to our workshop, Abang2 band "Serampang Bermata-mata" (I made that name up for them!) for their awesome performance at the rooftop that night (I noticed that some of CoA members are now addicted to their music!), Hakim, Perez, kids from Kg Medan who contribute to our screenings session and for supporting us,... and to everyone who're involved with 3H2M@UBU (probably I forget to mention...)...
THANKS SO MUCH!!! We definitely looking forward to organize next event!

Everyone looked kinda tired and stressed out with transforming the place into exhibition hall.
Nak cerita sampai abis, panjang sangat... so dipendekkan cerita... tgk je la gambo nieh ek?

The photo'gedik' session we had at Times Square was fun! Syafix was supposed to be our photographer that day, but something came up and he couldn't make it. Luckily, we had many talented photographers in our group and Belle is among them. Since Belle was around, I asked her to take our pictures (she always carries her camera wherever she goes)... So here are the results! Enjoy!!!

This time, we managed to sell 2 artworks because early that morning, it was so freakin hot and later in the evening, the rain poured down like there'll be no tomorrow... So we had to close our gerai early at 3pm. (balik tido laa ape lagik?!...)
